Prepare for rain and winds in the Yucatan Peninsula

During the period from Thursday, January 30, to Sunday, February 2, Cold Front No. 25 will extend over the Gulf of Mexico and combine with a low-pressure channel in the southeast of the country, causing rain and winds in various regions, including the Yucatan Peninsula.


The following weather information has been provided by the National Meteorological Service (SMN) through the National Water Commission (Conagua).

Weather Forecast for the Yucatan Peninsula

Campeche

  • Thursday, January 30: Heavy rains with localized accumulations of up to 50 mm are expected. Winds up to 60 km/h may occur in the region.

  • Friday, January 31: Scattered showers with accumulations below 25 mm. Warm daytime temperatures ranging between 30 and 35°C.

  • Saturday, February 1: Heavy rains with localized accumulations of up to 50 mm. Northerly winds with gusts of up to 60 km/h.

  • Sunday, February 2: Scattered showers with accumulations between 5 and 25 mm. Moderate winds with gusts up to 50 km/h.


Yucatan

  • Thursday, January 30: Scattered showers with accumulations between 5 and 25 mm. Northeastern winds with gusts up to 50 km/h.

  • Friday, January 31: Isolated rains with accumulations below 5 mm. Warm temperatures between 30 and 35°C.

  • Saturday, February 1: Showers with heavy rain of up to 50 mm. Northeastern winds with gusts up to 50 km/h.

  • Sunday, February 2: Light rain with accumulations below 5 mm. Warm temperatures with highs up to 35°C.

Quintana Roo

  • Thursday, January 30: Scattered showers with accumulations between 5 and 25 mm. Northeastern winds with gusts up to 50 km/h.

  • Friday, January 31: Isolated rains with accumulations below 5 mm. Warm temperatures between 30 and 35°C.

  • Saturday, February 1: Showers with accumulations of up to 25 mm. Northeastern winds with gusts up to 50 km/h.

  • Sunday, February 2: Light rain with accumulations below 5 mm. Moderate winds and maximum temperatures up to 35°C.
